NEW TIRES
+ How do I know if I need new tires?
As there are many factors that help determine a worn tire, it is best to have them inspected at regular intervals by professional technicians. Generally, tires need to be replaced when any portion of the original tread becomes worn down to 2/32h . An easy test you can perform is to run a penny through the most worn grooves of the tire, and if you can see the entirety of Abraham Lincon’s head then it is time to replace your tires. Most tires have “wear bars” and “low tread indicators” to help visually identify the low tread condition.
+ How long will it take?
A standard tire replacement takes about 20 minutes per tire.
TIRE ROTATION
+ How do I know if I need the service?
Always follow your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended tire rotation interval. Otherwise, You should get a tire rotation if you notice uneven wear between your tires. On most vehicles, front tires wear faster than your back tires, it is important to have them rotated regularly to ensure you are maximizing the safety features of your vehicle. Frequent tire rotations will prolong tire lifespan. Some vehicles cannot have the tires rotated if they are staggered (front and rear wheel sizes are different).
+ How does a tire rotation work?
The wheels are removed and repositioned on the vehicle to maximize tire lifespan. The exact orientation will vary from vehicle-to-vehicle.
+ How often should I have my tires rotated?
Always follow your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended tire rotation interval. When in doubt, Stress-Free Auto Care suggests to have your tires rotated every six months or about every 5,000 miles. A routine tire rotation at every oil change interval is a common manufacturer's recommendation for maximum prolonged tire life.
+ How long will it take?
Generally, a tire rotation service can take anywhere from 15 minutes to one hour.
TIRE PATCH
+ How do I know if I need a tire patch?
If a tire gets punctured from a road hazard or otherwise is found leaking, tires can often be patched without the need for a replacement tire. For a tire patch to be safely installed, the puncture must be on the central tread area, the puncture no larger than a quarter of an inch wide, and the tire sidewall and shoulder must not be damaged (it is important to identify the leaking tire before the tire completely deflates and is driven on). If the puncture or road hazard is on the shoulder or sidewall of the tire a new replacement tire is required. If a flat tire is driven on, often tire sidewall damage occurs and the tire must be replaced.
+ How long will it take?
A standard tire flat repair takes about 30 minutes.
